Selected Python Engine Warning

February 2025

πŸ› οΈ I received a few messages from the community who experienced the warning “The Selected Python Engine could not be found.” when running any button of NonicaTab.

This is something that is usually automatically set up by the app and it is easy to solve, but depending on your configuration you may need to do this manually while I am working on a solution.

Below you have 5 steps to solve this and get in contact with us at [email protected].
That would help identifying the issue.

πŸ“Œ 5 Steps to solve it:

    1. Go to Manage Tab in Revit. Open Dynamo.

    2. In the top left corner, click on Dynamo and then Preferences.

    3. Go to Package Settings tab and expand Node and Package File Locations.

    4. Click on Add Path.

      1. For Revit 2025 or later, add this path: C:\NONICA\OtherFiles\System\Core\net8.0-windows\IronPython

      2. For earlier versions, add this path: C:\NONICA\OtherFiles\System\IronPython

*Replace NONICA for NONICAPRO if you are using the Pro version

    5. Use the arrows to place the path at the top (highest priority).
