Select Fast in Revit

❝ I think Selecting is one of the most common actions in Revit (if not the most). ❞
❌ For selecting one category, Revit requires Selecting and Filtering.
❌ For selecting one family, Revit requires filters, schedules or Dynamos.
✅ For selecting one type, Revit right clicking works well.
So, I tried to improve that and made a small Revit button to expand the selection to elements of the same category, family or type easily. ( coding tip at the end )
It works with almost everything ( elements, tags, views, sheets, title blocks, … )

💻 Coding tip: Used Filtered Element Collector, fec(doc) and fec(doc, view.id) to retrieve the elements in the model or in a view. Then, I used .OfCategory() or the Family Symbol to narrow down the selection.
